UNSPACE.tool is our flagship Unreal Engine plugin for the setup and real-time management of virtual production environments. Designed with modularity in mind, it guides users through the entire process of building, configuring, and controlling LED volumes and their associated systems.
Create your custom LED volume directly within Unreal Engine. Define every physical characteristic—LED tile specs, screen count, resolution, curvature, ceilings—and switch between BUILD and UPDATE modes as your setup evolves. UVs are autogenerated based on the input geometry, ensuring perfect mapping and flexibility for any volume configuration.
Configure your uDisplay system, including all screen parameters, cluster assignments, IP addresses, and camera presets. Easily generate and manage display layouts and integrate your system seamlessly into Unreal.
Manage LiveLink connections, adjust camera settings (including our exclusive Depth of Field Compensation), and deploy our add-ons like the modular-rig or floor-matcher. You can also launch listeners across render nodes directly from this panel for synchronized operations.
Our Control Board extends your control capabilities across clustered machines in a Multi-User session. Monitor node performance, run diagnostics, issue commands, and manage resyncs or restarts—all from one unified panel. The integrated Monitor view gives you a full breakdown of framerate, performance logs, and machine loads per instance of your uDisplay system.
.ucamera is UNSPACE’s proprietary CineCamera system that dynamically compensates the virtual Depth of Field to align perfectly with real-world lens focus. This ensures a seamless integration between digital environments and real set elements, avoiding visual mismatches. Our advanced system captures precise camera metadata through the LiveLink protocol, wirelessly transmitted directly from Cooke/i lenses. For vintage lenses or those lacking real-time metadata transmission capabilities, .ucamera can alternatively map focus, iris, and zoom data via external FIZ encoders. It comes with optimized presets for the most widely used virtual production cameras, including ARRI, Sony, and RED.
This advanced tool generates a customizable rig of lights along the base of your uDisplay mesh to help blend virtual and physical floors with unmatched realism. Easily control the number, intensity, color, spread, and shape of the lights directly in the viewport. It supports real-time adjustment, MIDI controller integration, and DMX/Art-Net protocols for professional-grade lighting control. Designed to match the lighting footprint of your LED wall precisely, it ensures natural transitions and minimizes visual inconsistencies on set.
This add-on automates the color calibration between your virtual floor and its real-world counterpart by analyzing video input and adjusting the virtual environment accordingly. Simply mark the matching region, and the system will handle color alignment in real time—helping remove depth discontinuity and enhancing visual continuity in-camera.
